COLLEGE WINTER INTENSIVE PROGRAM

JANUARY 4-16, 2021

about the winter intensive

THIS PROGRAM IS FOR CURRENT COLLEGE STUDENTS AND RECENT COLLEGE GRADUATES

This Winter, The York Theatre Musical Theatre Training Program (MTTP) continues our association with the wildly popular Songwriters in MUFTI contest from the summer: One of our writing teams will connect with our Winter Intensive students and workshop an act of a BRAND NEW musical, bringing the entire project together virtually for a special premiere just after the New Year. Along the way there will be visits from Fancy York Friends, workshops with Casting Directors, and more. Get your 2021 started with all the possibility that your 2020 was missing!

The York Theatre Company is one of the few theatres in the world dedicated to developing new musicals as well as rediscovering forgotten musical theatre gems.

The York's Musical Theatre Training Program draws from its vast network of connections to New York City's most successful theatre artists as teachers and guest artists. It offers the unique opportunity of classes taking place in an actual Off-Broadway theatre near the heart of New York's theatre district.

These classes are for serious theatre students currently enrolled in college and are led by York's Education and Outreach Coordinator, Jimmy Ludwig.

For more information contact Jimmy Ludwig, Education and Outreach Coordinator, at mttp@yorktheatre.org.
